This photograph, likely taken in the 1860's or early 1870's, was probably snapped in a photographic-studio, which had a chair for the raja to be seated on while his photo was being taken. This photograph must have been taken by a photographic-studio prior to 1872, as Bhagwan Singh died in 1871. The name 'Bhagwan' is alt. spelt as 'Bhagvan'. Identification: Whilst the Hira Mahal Palace identifies this man as Raja Bhagwan Singh, the man strongly resembles a portrait of Raja Bharpur Singh of Nabha State (the predecessor of Bhagwan Singh).
