English: The tallest flagpole in the world, in the village Kichong-dong in North Korea, close to the Joint Security Area in Panmunjeom and the demarkation line. Photographed on 2005-02-02 by me, from Panmunjeom. A few notes: the pole is 160 metres tall, the flag weighs about 270 kg. Two persons are visible outside in the middle lower edge. |
