English: Narsingh Temple, Joshimath, Uttarakhand is a dedication to Lord Narasimha, the fourth avatar of Lord Vishnu. It is believed that the construction of this temple was done by Adi Shankaracharya. The idol of God Narasimha established in the temple, is made of Shaligram stone and was built during the reign of King Lalitaditya Yukta Pida of Kashmir in the 8th century. Also, there is a statue of Badrinath in the temple, along with the main idol of Narasimha. Moreover, when the main temple of Badrinath is closed in winter, the priests of Badrinath go to this temple and continue to worship Lord Badrinath here.
