Summary
DescriptionMotion of Nubia Plate.gif
English: Techtonic motion of Nubia Plate relative to the no-net-rotation reference frame. The data of the coordinates of the plate boundaries and the estimated angular velocity of the plates is taken from NNR-MORVEL56[1]. Coastlines are drawn with Natural Earth[2] (1:110m land polygons), which is available as public domain data.
Be aware that this animation is a mere representation of the current velocity of the techtonic plates and not a prediction of the exact positions or velocity of them in the future.
