Description
English: Memorial to Dom Moraes Dom Moraes was one of India`s well-known writers. He and Sarayu Srivatsa together wrote the book "Long Strider: How Thomas Coryate walked from England to India in the year 1613". Dom made the request that after he had died some of the earth from his grave in Sewri Cemetery, Mumbai, be interred in Odcombe Churchyard. The stone is said to be yellow Jaisalmer. Thomas Coryate had died in Surat, Gujarat, India in 1617.
