English: Paragomphus is a genus of dragonfly in family Gomphidae. They are commonly known as Hooktails.
Lined Hooktail (Paragomphus lineatus) is a yellow dragonfly with black and brown markings, and bluish grey eyes. Yellow with a brown “X” shaped and an oblique mark on the back of the thorax. Sides of the thorax have three parallel brown stripes. Eighth and ninth segments have lateral oar like expansions. Commonly found near streams, rivers, ponds and lakes.
