English: The rear view of the Krishnapuram palace, with its pond in the foreground. The palace is located in the south-western region of India in the state of kerala. This was built by the Travancore kingdom at modern day Kayankulam in Alapuzha district. The palace is an epitome of typical Kerala style architecture, popularly known as 'Nalukeetu', where the building is divided into the north, south, east and west blocks. This palace is one of the few structures which house four such 'Nalukeetu' blocks and hence called 'Pathinarukettu', 16 blocks. |
