English: "Haidar Ali, commander of the Marathas". French painting from 1762, published at the end of the Seven Years War. The Nawab of Mysore fought against the British for many years. In 1782 he received the help of the French squadron of Suffren, but he died before the end of the war
Français : "Haidar Ali, commandant en chef des Mahrattes". Gravure française de 1762, publiée à la fin de la Guerre de Sept Ans, sur le nabab du Mysore qui résiste aux Anglais. Le nabab du Mysore se bat contre les Anglais pendant de nombreuses années. En 1782 il reçoit l'aide de l'escadre française de Suffren, mais il meurt avant la fin de la guerre.
