Français : Fragment de frise provenant du site de Hadda, Afghanistan : Relief représentant la conversion du prince Nanda, demi-frère de Buddha. Sundari, sa femme, est assise au centre sous un toit soutenu par des colonnes corinthiennes. Entourée par trois serviteurs, elle met en valeur sa beauté, dispose ses bijoux. Dans la pièce d'à-côté, Nanda, sur le départ, se retourne une dernière fois vers sa femme. Il porte le bol qui va l'accompagner dans son nouveau statut de moine mendiant, dans la ville de Kapilavastu. Dans le bloc de frise qui jouxte celui-ci Buddha donne l'ordination à son frère.
中文：描繪孫陀羅難陀出家的浮雕。梯形屋頂帶有鋸齒形簷口，支柱有科林斯式柱頭與底座，難陀的妻子孫陀羅坐著，穿著束腰外衣，臂上圍著圍巾，帶有吊墜、腳鍊、手鐲、耳環和波浪長發的長鏈項鍊，在鏡子中看著自己，一隻手舉起。她身邊是三個穿著打扮相似的女人，其髮型隨著頭冠的樣式和髮髻的高度而略有不同。其中一人舉起一隻手，食指和中指連在一起，另一人梳理孫陀羅的頭髮，第三人從上面俯視孫陀羅。三個人都面帶微笑和熱切的表情，睜大了眼睛。第四人穿著相同，單手舉起站在側室裡，瞇著眼睛向下看。桌上有帶支架的鏡子，旁邊是一個有蓋的油膏盒，桌面下有科林斯式柱頭，桌腿彎曲。難陀在側室的門旁，髮髻有光環，戴著項圈、耳環和手鐲，穿著上衣與下裳，持缽，轉頭看妻子。難陀在左方下一幕中再次出現，持缽跪著，抬頭對著俯視他放光的高大佛陀。佛陀穿著常見的三衣，殘缺的右手作施無畏印，濃密的波浪形頭髮延伸到肉髻。佛陀和難陀睜著眼睛，表情生動。 |
