English: This is a face mask which is used for one of the oldest folk dance form "Chhau Dance" in Purulia,West Bengal. This Chhau mask is very unique and traditional and also registered on the List of Geographical Indications. The tribes makes this chhau masks of different mythological chracters such as Mahishasur-Mardini, Rama-Sita, the fight of Rama and Rabana, etc. That mask basically help them to inact the play or dance form "Chhau".
