Another spur of the moment decision: we decided around lunch time that we'll head out and try to catch the fireworks in Banff. We haven't done that before and the last few years we've been doing Zoo Year's Eve which has fireworks around 8~9PM and the City of Calgary had nothing going on at midnight in Olympic Plaza the last few years.

Very pleasantly surprised by how good the fireworks were and how long they lasted. It was very cold out there tonight, but the experience was well worth while. It seems like the Banff fireworks likes to change their location from year to year and the locals don't even know exactly where. They just have a general idea of possible locations, neat surprise. They ended up coming from behind the Banff Parks Canada Administration Building, very good view from where we were standing.
