The CIA Conference also known as CIACON is a series of Cyber Security Conference held annually. The first CIA Conference took place in March 2018 at Manav Rachna Campus, Faridabad, India.
History[edit]
The term CIA defines the CIA triad, a benchmark model in information security designed to govern and evaluate how an organization handles data when it is stored, transmitted, or processed. The CIA Conference (CIACON) is managed & marketed by Intersquad Cyber Intelligence Pvt. Ltd. which was founded in 2017 by Vaibhav Jha. Formally in 2018, it was organised in association with Manav Rachna by the name of the National Cyber Security Conference. The chief guest of 2018 edition of the conference was Gulshan Rai, first national cybersecurity coordinator of India.[3][4]
Events[edit]
Trainings[edit]
Pre-Conference trainings are dedicated training sessions on various subdomains of information security and related topics. Historical workshops have been held on topics such as Practical Mobile App Attacks, Digital Forensics, Buffer Overflow, IOT Security.
Villages[edit]
Villages are a dedicated space where various domain-specific security groups present their own series of events, which could be a sort of challenge, talks or any live hacking demonstrations. In the 2020 edition of CIACON, for the first time IOT Village presented their interactive hacking labs in India. Over the years IoT Village has served as a platform to showcase and uncover hundreds of new vulnerabilities, giving attendees the opportunity to learn about the most innovative techniques to both hack and secure IoT. IoT Village is organised by a security consulting and research firm, Independent Security Evaluators (ISE), and the non-profit organization, Village Idiot Labs (VIL).
CIACON CTF[edit]
They came into the limelight after their concept of Gaming CTF Platform. CIA Conference launched Asia’s first Platform based on Unity 3D. It enables the CTF teams to play the game in real-time and solve the integrated challenges. This Game Based CTF became the most unique CTF platform and was loved by many CTF players all across the globe. Traditionally CTF is being held on the web application, but CIA Conference launched the most unique concept of Computer Simulated CTF.[5]
