Bihar Staff Selection Commission

The Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) is a government organization responsible for conducting various recruitment examinations and selecting candidates for various government posts in the state of Bihar, India. The BSSC conducts a wide range of examinations for different departments and ministries under the Bihar government to fill vacancies in positions such as clerks, stenographers.[1], forest guards[2], and other non-gazetted posts.

The Bihar Staff Selection Commission was established on 25th February 2014 under the Bihar Staff Selection Commission Act, 2008. The commission was created to streamline the process of recruiting staff for various government jobs in the state.

Since its establishment, the commission has had several chairpersons, each responsible for overseeing its operations and ensuring the transparent and fair conduct of recruitment exams.One of the significant functions of BSSC is the recruitment of school teachers in Bihar. The commission conducts the Bihar Teacher Eligibility Test (Bihar TET)[3] for selecting eligible candidates for teaching positions in government schools.

Exam Structure[edit]
