User scripts are powerful customisations, authored by the community, that allow registered Bharatpedia users to change Bharatpedia's interface beyond the options available in preferences. This is a list of available scripts, with a description and a button to install them where supported. User scripts are written in JavaScript.

  • Many popular scripts may be available as gadgets and may not be listed on this page. You can enable them via Preferences → Gadgets. Check there first for any tool you might be looking for, since gadgets can be centrally maintained and tested.
  • Most scripts are designed and tested primarily with the skin for which their authors developed them. Compatibility may vary between skins and browsers.

How to install user scripts:

  1. Open Preferences and check whether the script is available under Gadgets. Enable it there if available, then click Save.
  2. If the script is not available as a gadget, visit its source or documentation page and follow the installation instructions.
  3. Where supported, use the script's installation link. Some scripts require additional steps, so read the documentation before installing them.

Appearance and behavior[edit source]

Scripts that change the appearance or behavior (user interface/user experience) of the site and do not directly increase editors' contributions. Scripts that do nothing other than add a link to a menu, panel, or toolbar should be listed under the appropriate shortcuts section.

Adding scripts to this list[edit source]

When adding a script, provide its name, source code page, documentation page if available, and a concise description of its functionality. List entries alphabetically by script name within the appropriate section. Ensure that the script works on Bharatpedia before listing it as a Bharatpedia script.
