Rawat has competed as an amateur boxer and is listed in the athlete database maintained by India Boxing.[4]
Reality television[edit | edit source]
Rawat began his reality television career as a contestant on MTV Roadies XX: Double Cross in 2025.[5] He was a strong contender and was evicted before the grand finale, with his mentor Elvish Yadav expressing disappointment over his elimination.[5][6] Following his Roadies stint, he gained further recognition and a strong fan following.[7]
In 2026, Rawat appeared as a contestant on MTV Splitsvilla X6.[8] He was one of the early favourites in the 'Pyaar Villa' and was noted for his charm and connection with Akanksha Chaudhary.[9] His ex-girlfriend Ruru Thakur made a wildcard entry, creating a highly publicised love triangle that became a major highlight of the season.[10] Rawat and Ruru Thakur ultimately reached the grand finale as one of the top four couples, finishing as finalists.[11][12]
In June 2026, Rawat joined the second season of Lock Upp (subtitled Sach Ya Sazaa), reuniting with fellow Splitsvilla X6 contestant Akanksha Chaudhary.[3][7] He emerged as the second runner-up of the season.[13][14] During the programme, his on-screen interactions and controversies received significant coverage from mainstream Indian media. He was confronted by Kangana Ranaut over his 'cheater' tag, and he broke down emotionally while discussing the allegations.[15][16] He also confessed to shoplifting goods worth Rs 50,000–60,000 from malls during his younger years.[1]
