Pawan Monga (born 16 July 1978) is an Indian politician, businessman and social worker associated with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He has served in organisational roles within the BJP's Delhi unit and is the founder and president of Ekta Mission, a social welfare organisation engaged in humanitarian, educational and community development initiatives. His public activities have included political organisation, community outreach and charitable programmes, particularly in Delhi.[1][2][3]

Pawan Monga was born on 16 July 1978 in Delhi, India. He became involved in political and community activities during his youth and later entered public life through the Bharatiya Janata Party.[2][3]
Political career[edit | edit source]
Monga began his political career through the Bharatiya Janata Party Yuva Morcha (BJYM), the youth wing of the Bharatiya Janata Party, in 1992. Over the following years, he held a number of organisational responsibilities within the party at the district and state levels. His work included organisational development, public outreach, community engagement and coordination of party activities in Delhi.[4][2]
Between 2014 and 2020, Monga served as Secretary of the BJP Delhi Pradesh unit. Following this tenure, he became a State Executive Member of BJP Delhi, continuing to participate in organisational activities and public outreach programmes undertaken by the party.[2][3][5]
In addition to his party responsibilities, Monga has been associated with several public initiatives. He has served as Chief Spokesperson of the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana in Delhi, held responsibilities relating to the Greater Kailash Assembly constituency, and has been associated with the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA).[2][3]
During his political career, Monga has participated in programmes relating to civic engagement, organisational development and public welfare. His work has focused on community outreach and the implementation of social initiatives through political and voluntary organisations operating in Delhi.[1][5]

In 2000, Monga founded Ekta Mission, a non-profit organisation engaged in social welfare, humanitarian assistance, education, healthcare, environmental awareness and community development. As president of the organisation, he has overseen programmes including free medical camps, blood donation drives, educational assistance, disaster relief operations, awareness campaigns and welfare initiatives for economically disadvantaged communities.[6][7][3]
The organisation has undertaken initiatives relating to healthcare accessibility, educational support, environmental awareness and humanitarian assistance. Its activities have included organising health camps, facilitating blood donation drives, distributing educational materials, conducting awareness campaigns and providing relief assistance during natural disasters and public emergencies.[5][6]
During the COVID-19 pandemic in India, Monga and Ekta Mission organised relief measures for affected communities. The organisation coordinated the distribution of food, medicines, oxygen cylinders, ration kits, face masks and sanitizers, while also assisting people in obtaining hospital beds, ambulance services and emergency medical support. Volunteers associated with Ekta Mission also participated in awareness campaigns promoting preventive health measures and public safety.[1][8][4]
Ekta Mission has also organised cultural, educational and social programmes aimed at promoting community participation and recognising contributions in fields including public service, music, literature and social work. The organisation has hosted public events featuring political leaders, artists and social activists and has published annual souvenir volumes highlighting its activities and initiatives.[9][10]

Monga has been associated with public awareness campaigns relating to sanitation, environmental conservation and community welfare. Through Ekta Mission, he has supported programmes promoting civic participation, voluntary service and charitable activities in Delhi and neighbouring regions.[8][7] The organisation's annual souvenir publications have been released at public functions attended by national political figures, while its cultural initiatives have included talent competitions, community events and programmes intended to encourage public participation in social causes.[9][10]

Over the course of his political career, Monga has held a number of organisational positions within the Bharatiya Janata Party. He began his political activities through the Bharatiya Janata Party Yuva Morcha (BJYM) in 1992, serving in organisational roles at the local and district levels. During the 1990s and early 2000s, he served as Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party Yuva Morcha at Basai Darapur, Secretary (Social and Sports) of the Bharatiya Janata Party Yuva Morcha in West Delhi, President of the BJP Sports Cell in West Delhi, and Organising Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party for the Rajouri Garden area. He subsequently served as Secretary of the BJP Delhi Pradesh Sports Cell and later as All India National Convener (Social) of the Bharatiya Janata Party Yuva Morcha.[4]
Monga later held the position of In-charge of the BJP Delhi Pradesh Education Cell and subsequently served as a Special Invitee Member of the BJP Delhi Pradesh unit. Between 2014 and 2020, he served as Secretary of BJP Delhi Pradesh, overseeing organisational and public outreach activities. Since 2020, he has been a State Executive Member of BJP Delhi, continuing to participate in party organisation and public engagement programmes.[2][3][5]
Apart from his responsibilities within the Bharatiya Janata Party, Monga has also served as Chief Spokesperson of the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana in Delhi and has held organisational responsibilities relating to the Greater Kailash Assembly constituency.
