Tanzid Hasan Tamim (born 1 December 2000) is a Bangladeshi left-handed batter who has played for the national cricket team since 2023.
Career[edit | edit source]
Hasan made his Twenty20 debut for Uttara Club in the 2018–19 Dhaka Premier Division T20 League on 26 February 2019.[2] He made his List A debut for Uttara Sporting Club in the 2018–19 Dhaka Premier Division League on 8 March 2019.[3] In December 2019, he was named in Bangladesh's squad for the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup.[4]
He made his first-class debut on 22 February 2020, for East Zone, in the final of the 2019–20 Bangladesh Cricket League.[5] In February 2021, he was selected in the Bangladesh Emerging squad for their home series against the Ireland Wolves.[6][7] In 2023, he was selected in Bangladesh's squad for the 50-over Cricket World Cup.[8]
In May 2024, Hasan was named in Bangladesh's squad for the 2024 Men's T20 World Cup tournament.[9]
On 14 August 2026, Hasan hit his maiden Test century during the 1st Test match against Australia. He is also the first and only Bangladeshi batter to have scored a Test century in Australia.[10]
