Abdul Mottaleb Akanda was a Bangladesh Nationalist Party politician and the former Member of Parliament of Gaibandha-4.

Career[edit | edit source]

Akanda was elected to parliament from Gaibandha-4 as a Bangladesh Nationalist Party candidate in 2001.^[1] He allegedly diverted flood relief from Mahimaganj Union, after the union voted Abdul Latif Prodhan, an Bangladesh Awami League politician, chairman of the Union Parishad.^[2]

Death[edit | edit source]

Akanda died on 11 March 2006 from a heart attack.^[3]
