This desk is for questions about language: spelling, grammar, punctuation, word origins, usage, and translation between languages. Questions about the meaning or etymology of a word, or about how a phrase is used in a particular region, are all appropriate here.
Translation requests are welcome, but please be specific about the languages involved and, where possible, give the context in which the text appears. A single word can translate several ways depending on how it is used.
