Azhagiya Periyavan (born 1968 in Peranambut, Vellore) is the pen name of C.Aravindan, a modern Tamil writer and journalist.[1] He writes about Dalit issues.

Thagappan Kodi (Thagappan's Lineage) is his popular novel.[2]
