The Lainingthou (Old Manipuri: ꯂꯥꯢꯅꯤꯡꯊꯧ, romanized: lāi-nīng-thaw, lit. 'king of the gods'[1]) is a divine title often used by male deities in Meitei mythology and religion.[2][3] The term may also mean "Sovereign God".[4] There are many gods who use this title.
