"Khamlangba" (Meitei: ꯈꯝꯂꯥꯡꯕ, romanized: kham-laang-ba), also spelt as "Khamlangpa" (Old Manipuri: ꯈꯝꯂꯥꯡꯄ, romanized: kham-laang-pa), is a primordial deity in Meitei mythology and religion. He is a great hunter, warrior and miner. Legend says he is grown out of the creator God Atingkok.[1] His occupation is the extraction of the iron ores and the manufacture of steel.[2] The "Khamlangba Thenlon" mentions about his skills of iron metallurgy and blacksmith in the Kakching kingdom.[3]
