St. Claret School, Kolkata is an English medium school, established in the Jubilee Year 2000 by the Claretian Society, registered under the West Bengal Societies Registration Act. XXXVI of 1961.
About school
The school was established in Debpukur, Barrackpore, it is a co-educational school, which admits children irrespective of caste and creed. The school is administered by the code of regulations for the Anglo-Indian School in West Bengal. The school follows the syllabus of the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE). The current Principal is Father Sony John.[1]
The school consists of two buildings of which one is dedicated for nursery up to class 4 and the other building which is the older one has been dedicated for the students of class 5 up to class 12.
Apart from the playground and basketball court, a park, as well as a sprawling sitting area, has been dedicated for the students of the school.
It has been widely acclaimed as one of the best schools in Barrackpore and its name and fame has been spread far and wide. Thus, making it probably the most well known or popular school in Barrackpore.
