Sethupathi Higher Secondary School is a school situated in Madurai,Tamilnadu, in Northveli street. The school premises were once owned by Baskara Sethupathi (1889–1903), who also built the school.

In this Sethupathi school, the great "MAHAKAVI" Indian National patriotic poet Subramaniya Bharatiyar has worked as a Tamil Pandit in the school for 11 months before going underground to evade an arrest warrant issued during the British rule. The 125-year-old government aided school here has come out with a revelation that the national poet continues to be in its staff list since 1904, as neither did he resign nor did the management terminate him from service. Bharathi still on school staff list.
