Central Railway School Kalyan, a Senior Secondary School in Kalyan, Maharashtra, India, was established in 1918 as a primary school by the G.I.P. Railways. The school is having Junior College as well. The school as well as college is affiliated to CBSE, New Delhi. The first batch of students went to S.S.C. Board of Maharashtra State in 1975. The Arts Faculty was added in 1997 and Science Stream in year 2005. School is in K-12 pattern with a strength of 1800 students. A pioneer in Computer Literacy among Indian Schools. The school is the proud winner of the State Award for Excellence in Computer education award from Maharashtra and National for Excellence in Computer education among Indian schools. Both the awards were conferred by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam in December 2005 at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi. Shri Jacob Thomas, the then Sr. Post Graduate Teacher received the awards with a cash prize of 9 Lakahs, Medals and citations.
