Bengaluru City University is a state university located in Bengaluru , Karnataka. It was formed after the trifurcation of Bangalore University.[1][2]It was formed in the year 2017.
Bengaluru Central University is renamed as Bengaluru City University.[3]
Bengaluru City University is located in the heart zone of the Bengaluru City, It is usually recognized as Central College Campus. The first Vice chancellor was Prof. Japhet, who vacated his seat on 2020. The present Vice Chancellor for BCU is Prof. Narasimha Murthy from Arts department.
