Khati is an Indian caste.[1][2] Its members live mainly in and around the Malwa region. Its main language is Malwi and Uttarakhand and old Rajasthan.[citation needed]

'KHATI' Means the one who works with wood. The Hindi word 'काठ' 'KATH' means wood, and the one who works with it called 'काठी' 'KATHI' which became later 'खाती' KHATI.
