Attack is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language action thriller film directed and co-written by Lakshya Raj Anand.[2] The film is produced by John Abraham, Jayantilal Gada and Ajay Kapoor.[3] It stars Abraham in the leading role alongside Jacqueline Fernandez and Rakul Preet Singh.[4] Based on hostage crisis, the storyline is inspired by true events.[5]
Principal photography began in January 2020.[6] Production was put on hold in March 2020 due to COVID-19 pandemic and resumed eleven months later, in February 2021.[7] The film was originally scheduled for theatrical opening worldwide on 14 August 2020.[8] However, it was delayed due to the shooting suspension.[9] The film is now slated for theatrical release on 13 August 2021, getting delayed by 1 year.[1]
