Update needed
News 🗞️ needed to be update on main page.[1] 🍁Bharatwiki Socrates🍁(📩) 07:16, 21 February 2024 (IST)

- or better consider removing the news section from main page Dokania (talk) 14:09, 5 October 2026 (IST)
- @Bharatwiki Socrates and Dokania: Sorry, guys, I wasn't around. When you say the Main Page, do you mean the redesigned one with different cards, sections, a sidebar, etc., or the regular Main Page visible in the Vector skin? The news section on the redesigned Main Page fetches data via API from various pages. To keep it maintained, we would need a separate page, such as Main Page/news, where the news can be updated regularly. The first section and the recent deaths section on the Main Page pull data from 2026 in India, so that page also needs to be kept up to date. Please share your suggestions on how we should manage and maintain these sections. WikiDwarf (talk) 10:51, 7 October 2026 (IST)
- @WikiDwarf I posted it two years ago, and now our main page has changed. I think it looks really nice, and I don’t see any issues with it. I’m not sure what @Dokania thinks about it..it’s up to them. 🍁Bharatwiki Socrates🍁(📩) 10:57, 7 October 2026 (IST)
- Oh, I use the vector skin, so it's still stuck in oct 2022 for me. Can it also be updated like neoskin? AI can be very helpful in generating latest news for updating sections easily. Dokania (talk) 13:07, 7 October 2026 (IST)
- I just noticed that the main page is currently generated using Template:Main Bharatpedia page, which pulls content from various pages and templates, such as Main Page/Introduction, Main Page/Knowledge groups, {{News}}, {{Did you know}}, Main Page/topics and Main Page/languages. To achieve this, we need to maintain and regularly update these pages and templates so that the main page displays the latest information. WikiDwarf (talk) 13:24, 7 October 2026 (IST)
- can't it be synchronised like in BPneo skin? Dokania (talk) 13:27, 7 October 2026 (IST)
- I need to check if we can create a script to pull data using API. WikiDwarf (talk) 13:31, 7 October 2026 (IST)
- @Dokania: Done. I have created a script and module to keep the main page updated automatically. For the Recent News and Recent Deaths sections, please keep 2026 in India updated, and the script will automatically pull the relevant information. If you don't see the changes, please hard-refresh the page or purge the cache, then let me know if it works for you. WikiDwarf (talk) 14:47, 7 October 2026 (IST)

Music Instrument Shop in Lucknow | Hare Krishna Musicals
Music is a huge part of Lucknow’s culture. From traditional music and performances, to popular songs and concerts, music fills the city with rhythm. It’s equally important to choose the right musical instrument in order to have the best musical experience. Whether you are just learning to play music and want to master the basics, attend music classes to further your knowledge, or are a professional performer, practicing to amaze your audience with your talent, the musical instrument you play can greatly impact your experience.
Finding the right Music Instrument Shop in Lucknow is not always about finding the best prices. You have to consider the quality and construction of the instrument, how easy it is to play, the type of music you want to perform, and if it suits your needs. Hare Krishna Musicals has an ample selection of both, Indian classical as well as, Western musical instruments. This guide will help you see the variety of instruments they provide, and help you gain knowledge to make an informed decision before your purchase.
Types of Musical Instruments
It’s always good to understand a bit about musical instruments beforehand so you are able to identify the right instrument for you. Different instruments have different maintenance needs as well as a unique playing technique and sound.
Indian Classical Musical Instruments
Instruments of Indian classical music are great for beginners to understand rhythm as well as different forms of melody and concepts of music. They are useful to advance your knowledge of different ragas and talas, as well as, music theory in general.
A harmonium produces sound with reed pipes and a bellows, and is commonly used by classical singers for practice and performances. It is also used for bhajans and kirtans. A harmonium has keys and can be used to play melodies and accompany singers. A simple design is adequate for beginners. Musicians may look for additional features like stops, couplers, or features that enable scale changes for more complex pieces.
The sitar is the main instrument for melodic expression in Hindustani Classical Music. Practitioners of the sitar require extensive practice to render melodies. Other instruments used in Hindustani Classical Music, such as the tabla and tanpura, are used for rhythmic and tonal accompaniment, respectively.
When choosing an Indian Classical Instrument, consideration should be given to the construction, tuning stability, and sound of the instrument.
The usage of Western instruments, such as the piano, violin, flute and clarinet is increasing in school programmes, contests, bands, orchestras, home studios and performances. Pianos, keyboards and drum kits are also widely used as teaching aids in music schools.
Guitars are not only beginner-friendly, but are also used for songwriting and live performances. Keyboards offer a variety of sounds, and are equally useful for beginners and experienced musicians. Drum kits develop a sense of rhythm and coordination. Violins are used for classical performances as well as contemporary pieces.
To find the right instrument for yourself, take into account your learning goals and practice environment. It is also important to consider your budget.
Choosing the Right Instrument
When you shop for an instrument, it’s important to evaluate your needs. This will help you identify the right instrument for you. An honest music instrument store will include enough information about a product to give you a clear idea about what you are buying.
Think About Your Experience and Musical Goals
Students generally prefer instruments which are easy to use and maintain. For vocal students, a harmonium would work as an accompaniment instrument. String students may prefer guitars or sitars.
Intermediate and advanced students may prefer instruments which give a better sound response, are more comfortable to use for longer periods of time and maintain tuning stability. A model which facilitates effective projection of sound in an hall would be a preferred choice.
Check for Sound Quality and Construction
If you do not have the option of playing the instrument, check if the instrument is made of good quality material. Check if the keys respond appropriately and remain stable. If the instrument is a harmonium, check if the bellows retain air. Check the construction of body and bridge of a string instrument.
Price and Long-Term Value
Always check the price of the instrument. entry level instruments may not have the best construction quality. Professional level instruments may be costlier and more refined.
Set a realistic budget and examine similar items based on their specifications instead of their price. Think of related costs like accesssories, upkeep and repairs when reaching your final figure.

Review Seller Policies
Read terms related to payment, shipping, returns and replacements, and warranties (wherever applicable) before placing the order. Special care and packing is required for instruments that are delicate and need to be handled with care.
