Prakash Naik (born May 7, 1975) is an Indian politician from Chhattisgarh. Naik was elected as the MLA from Raigarh constituency of the Chhattisgarh assembly in 2018 elections. He represents the Raigarh constituency in the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly. He contested from Congress party.[1][2][3][4]
Early life
Prakash Naik is a son of former Congress MLA and former minister Dr. Shakrajeet Naik. Naik was born to politician Dr. Shakrajeet Naik on 7 March 1975 in a politicians family who lived in Nawapali, a village in Raigarh district of Madhya Pradesh (present-day Chhattisgarh). His father Dr. Shakrajeet Naik is a former minister and political leader in Raigarh Constituency.
Educational background
Naik completed his schooling from Government Primary School, Nawapali, Raigarh, Madhya Pradesh (present-day Chhattisgarh).[7][8]
He got in controversy after getting elected for election, as his name came in the last list of congress just before the last date of candidates name submission, and after that he came into the main problem as there were one Candidate from BJP roshan lal agrawal and one already been elected canditate from one years ago vibhash singh from chhattisgarh janta congress and the other and the most powerful person of this election was an independent opponent vijay agrawal But atlast praksh naik succeeded anyhow and won the election with majority of votes
Note - vijay agrawal was the candidate whom his father shakrajeet naik defeated in 2008 raigarh mla elections. - and roshan lal agrawal was the candidate who defeated his father dr.shakrajeet naik in 2013 elections. - and again in 2018 son of dr. shakrajeet naik mr prakash naik defeated both of them in this election.
