The Foreign Secretary of Pakistan[1] serves as the Federal Secretary for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. As with other ministries within the Government of Pakistan, the Secretary acts as the bureaucratic head and is a BPS-22 grade officer from the Central Superior Services of Pakistan.

Since 11 September 2024[a 1], the position is held by Amna Baloch, who has the distinction of being only the second woman to serve as Foreign Secretary in Pakistan's history, following Tehmina Janjua.
