Shreya Hooda (born 25 May 1999)[1] is an Indian women's professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Odisha FC in the Indian Women's League and represents the India women's national football team. She is selected for the Asian Games squad to play in Hangzhou, the People's Republic of China, from September 23 to October 8.[2]
Early life
She was born in Sonipet, Haryana. At a young age of 13, she began playing football and played for India in the Under-14 and Under-16 tournaments as a goalkeeper.[3]
Domestic career
Starting with the Haryana State team, Shreya represented Gokulam Kerala FC, Football Club Kolhapur City, PIFA Sports (Colaba) FC, Himachal Pradesh FA-(W)Club, Himachal Pradesh Santosh Trophy team 2017 and Hans Capital Football Club in domestic tournaments. She represented the winning Haryana team at the Khelo India games.[3] She also won the Indian Women's League with Gokulam Kerala FC.[4]
International career
She made her Senior India debut in 2022. She was part of the Indian team that won AFC Women's Club Championship. In March 2023, she was in the Indian Senior team that played a goalless draw against Jordan at Petra Stadium in Amman.[5] In July, she was named in the 34-member Senior India probable list for the AFC Olympic Qualifiers Round 2, to be played in October.[6]
