Simpleenergy,[2][3] also known as Simple One, is an Indian electric vehicle (EV)[4][5][6] startup based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.[7][8][9][10][11] The company was founded in September 2019.[12][13][14][15]

OverviewEdit

Simpleenergy is actively involved in designing, developing, and manufacturing electric scooters, with a focus on producing their own components, including batteries and motors.[16][17][18][19]

Flagship productEdit

The company's flagship product, known as the "Simple One,"[20][21] is an electric scooter equipped with a 5kWh battery pack and an 8.5kWh motor.[22] It stands out in the market with a certified range of 212 km,[23][24][25] a top speed of 105 km/h, and an acceleration of 0–40 km/h in just 2.77 seconds.[26][27][28][29][30][31]

Collaborations and investmentsEdit

Simpleenergy has entered into strategic collaborations with institutions like the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IIT Guwahati) and American company C4V for technology development. Additionally, the company has secured substantial investments totaling 200 crore[32] INR from High Net Worth Individuals (HNIs) and family offices, with Dr. A. Velumani, founder of Thyrocare,[33][34][35] among the investors.[36][37][38][39][40]
