Tillu Square is an upcoming Indian Telugu-language romantic crime comedy film directed by Mallik Ram. The film is produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi under the banner of Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas and distributed by Srikara Studios. It is written by Siddu Jonnalagadda who also portrays the titular role of DJ Tillu and Anupama Parameswaran in lead roles.[1]
The film serves as a direct sequel to the 2022 film DJ Tillu.[2] The film was officially announced in June 2022 by Naga Vamsi. Principal photography began in August 2022.[3] Ram Miriyala and Sricharan Pakala serve as the music directors. Cinematography is handled by Sai Prakash Ummadisingu and editing is done by Naveen Nooli.
Tillu Square is scheduled to be released in theatres on 15 September 2023.[4]

Production
Development
In February 2022, before DJ Tillu's release, Jonnalagadda stated that they were planning a sequel for the film. "There are no limits to Tillu's character and I think, this can be explored and stretched to any length," he added.[5] The sequel was officially announced in June 2022. Mallik Ram, of Naruda Donoruda and Adbhutham fame, was announced as the director, replacing Vimal Krishna from the original film. Suryadevara Naga Vamsi returned as the producer. On Deepawali 2022, the title of the sequel was revealed as Tillu Square.
Casting
In December 2022, Anupama Parameswaran was announced as the female lead. There were rumors that she had walked out of the project and Madonna Sebastian was taking her place. However, the rumors were rubbished by the producer and Parameswaran stayed on as the heroine.[6]
Filming
Principal photography of the sequel began in August 2022.[7]
Music
The score and soundtrack of the film is composed by Ram Miriyala and Sricharan Pakala. Aditya Music serves as the music banner. The first single "Ticket Eh Konakunda" released on 26 July, 2023.[8][9]

Release
Tillu Square was initially planned for a theatrical release in March 2023, but it was postponed due to uncited reasons.[10] It is now slated to release on 15 September 2023 across theatres in India.[11][12]
