Bhanumati was the wife of Emperor Kanishka III and mother of his son, Vasudeva II. She is the first Empress to be known as the wife of Kanishka III. After her, her son, Vasudeva II also had a wife who became the Empress after Bhanumati. Her father was a king named Bhagyasena, who considered his daughter, Bhanumati's marriage with Kanishka III.[lower-alpha 1]
