Sagar Sharma is an active Youth leader of Ajmer’s Kekri city, also the State Senior Vice President of Indian Youth Congress[1] and has been an active member of Indian National Congress.[2][3] He played an important part in the victory of his father, Health Minister Dr. Raghu Sharma during the 2018 Rajasthan Legislative Assembly election in Kekri. The Youth Brigade along with Sagar helped many during the Covid-19 pandemic.[4]
Early Life
Sagar was born to Raghu Sharma who currently the Health Minister Of Rajasthan. Sagar did his schooling from Maharaja Sawai Man Singh Vidyalaya of Jaipur and higher studies in Business Management from James Cook University in Singapore.[5]
Career
Sagar is an entrepreneur involved in the Business of Mining Granite and marble and is also one of the major exporters of Fantasy Brown Marble in the Rajasthan region.[6]
Political Journey
- Sagar returned to India during the 2018 Parliamentary By-Election in Ajmer where his father Dr. Raghu Sharma was a candidate from Indian National Congress and won the election by defeating BJP’s Ram Swaroop Lamba and secured got 605023 votes.[7]
- Sagar along with youth brigade played key role in 2018 Kekri Assembly Elections, 2019 Loksabha Elections and in 2020 the youth brigade managed to bring the congress board in Sarwar Panchayat Samiti after 15 years.
- In 2020 He participated in World Commonwealth Youth Parliament and represented the state of Rajasthan.
- In 2021, He along with the youth brigade managed to bring congress board in Kekri Municipal Corporation after 25 years and in Sarwar Municipal Corporation after 15 years.[8]
