Imphal 1944 (Meitei: ꯏꯝꯐꯥꯜ ꯱꯹꯴꯴) is 2014 WWII feature movie based on the Battle of Imphal, directed and produced by Japanese actor and filmmaker Junichi Kajioka, based on London.[1][2][3] It was produced on the 70th Anniversary Commemoration of the Battle of Imphal (WWII) in Imphal on 28 June 2014.[4][5] Notably, the film was screened in the Cannes Film Festival in 2015.[6]
