Gādhi, historically known as Gāthin, was the father of Vishvamitra. Gāthin Kauśika was a Rigvedic rishi and the author of two hymns in Mandala 3 of the Rigveda.[1] In later Hindu texts he is the king of Mahodayapura, and also the father of Satyavati.[2]
