National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), formerly Gujarat Forensic Science University (GFSU), is a higher-education institute[1] in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. It is solely dedicated to forensic and investigative science.[2] It was created by Act 17 passed in the Gujarat Legislative Assembly on 30 September 2008.[3][4][5] It is recognised as an Institution of National Importance by the Act of Parliament.[6][7]

Controversy

GFSU has faced multiple court petitions and appeals due to various governance issues.

  • Admission procedure irregularities[8]
  • Faculty adequacy issue[9]
