HMIS Ahmedabad (T 264) was a Basset class ship that was part of the Royal Indian Navy. The ship was built in Bombay by Scindia Steam Navigation Co Ltd in 1941 and was launched in 1943. It was commanded by Robert Love and Hosi Behramji.[1] HMIS Ahmedabad is anti-submarine trawler.[2] One of the journeys that this ship made was during the an aggressive cyclone in 1945 on Indian east coast. The ship made a journey from Vishakhapatnam to find for a Craft tank. But in Coconda, HMIS Ahmedabad also suffered and had to be salvaged.[3]
