Partition Horrors Remembrance Day
Partition Horrors Remembrance Day is a memorial day on 14 August that commemorates the victims of the Partition of India in 1947. 14 August was chosen to commemorate the date by the Indian government in 2021 ahead of the 75th Independence Day.[1][2]

Partition’s pains can never be forgotten. Millions of our sisters and brothers were displaced and many lost their lives due to mindless hate and violence. In memory of the struggles and sacrifices of our people, 14th August will be observed as Partition Horrors Remembrance Day.
