Tesla for Tumkur is a campaign urging the state government of Karnataka to consider Tumkur to set-up Tesla's Giga-factory.[1] The campaign was started by Tumkur-based entrepreneurs Prathik Jain[2] and Ravi Sagar[3] in 2021 after Elon Musk confirmed that they are looking to begin operations in India. At this point of time, plan of actions regarding the campaign are yet to be disclosed, currently it looks more of a marketing gimmick by entrepreneurs to increase their digital visibility over internet to improve their businesses.[4][5][6]
