Ishwak Singh is an Indian actor who appears in Hindi cinema.[1] He made his screen debut with Raanjhanaa (2013) in a small role. From then onwards he was seen in supporting roles in films like Aligarh (2015), Tamasha (2015), Tum Bin II (2016), Veere Di Wedding (2018) and Malaal (2019). He rose to prominence in 2020 with a supporting role in Amazon Prime Video original web series Paatal Lok, which was one of the best web series of 2020. For the latter, he was nominated in the Filmfare OTT Awards for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. The following year, he played a supporting role in Amazon Prime Video original film Unpaused (2020).[2] He will be next seen as Vikram Sarabhai in Sony LIV original web series Rocket Boys.

Career

Singh studied to be an architect, and ventured into acting by joining Asmita Theatre, a theatre group in Delhi.[3] He expanded into films with brief roles in the 2015 films Aligarh and Tamasha and had a bigger role in the romantic drama Tum Bin II.[4][5] He then played a supporting role opposite Sonam Kapoor in the comedy Veere Di Wedding (2018).[6]

In 2020, Singh starred as a young, idealistic cop in the Amazon Prime Video crime thriller series Paatal Lok.[7] Reviewing the series for The Indian Express , Shubhra Gupta labelled him as "impressive".[8] Priyanka Roy of The Telegraph considered him to be "the find of the series".[9]

In June 2021, Ishwak was ranked at 18th in the list of Top 50 desirable men of 2020 by Delhi Times.[10]
