Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir, Barki Chanpi (informally Shishu Mandir) is a public co-educational high school located in Barki Chanpi district Lohardaga. School follows the Education system of Vidya Bharti and Vananchal Shiksha Samiti (Jharkhand). School provides education from Pravesh (Lower kindergarten) to Dasham (Higher secondary level).

HistoryEdit
The school was established on 12 April 1992.
The school's aim is to teach ″Sheel Gyaan and Shishtachar″.
The school was started with about five children, but today it has about 1100 children. The school has three wings, the pre-primary, primary and higher.
All wings were Hindi medium. But in 2012-2013 on pre-primary and primary are made English medium.

The school is situated at Village Barki Chanpi Near Village Kundgara 20 km away from Lohardaga district or 5 km away from Barki Chanpi Railway station. The school's campus is filled with green trees around.
Academics and facultiesEdit
The school teaches Mathematics, Science, Social Science and Moral Science including three languages: Hindi, English, and Sanskrit. For class pre-primary, there are 5-7 teachers. Primary and higher classes are handled by 7-9 and 5-7 teachers respectively. The student-teacher ratio is 1 teacher for every 40-50 students
Extracurricular activitiesEdit
Extracurricular activities include art, dance, sports, and vocal. Every year a competition is held like drama, general knowledge, painting, dance, speech, especially on the occasions of Independence Day and Republic Day.
