Shakerit Nayak (died 29 May 2021) was an Indian politician.

BiographyEdit

He was a Member of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly, ultimately for Raigarh, representing the Indian National Congress, from 1990 till 2013. Nayak was a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party from 1990 till 2002 but defected to the INC.[1]

His son, Prakash Naik, was elected as the MLA for Raigarh in 2018.

Nayak died from COVID-19 aged 78.[2]
