Based on these templates, 2:3 dimensions was chosen, the cross have been centered both horizontally and vertically, thickness of the cross was narrowed down to 1/5 of the flag's height, colors was chosen from Flag of Puerto Rico (1952-1995).svg and Oleo de Mariana Bracceti with a white star, the star is centered within the upper left rectangle, the space below and above the star is exactly 1/5 of the of the flag's height.
