Shalya's second daughter[edit]

She is described as the daughter of Shalya and sister of Bhanumati. Duryodhana saw Princess Bhanumati and kidnapped her. Later, he also kidnapped Princess Mayuri.

The second story describes about Anushalva, brother of Shalva and the nephew of Upadhrava. According to some Puranas, he kidnapped Shalya's second daughter Princess Tejashree. Some sources say that Bhanumati's father was King Chitrangada and mother Parvatnandini and Tejashree's father was King Charuratha and mother Trupti.

Upadharava's Planning[edit]

Upadharava plans to kidnap Princess Tejashree from her Kingdom and said this to Anushalva. But Anushalva responded to his uncle that he cannot kidnap a princess in front of her father. Upadharava said that Anushalva can kidnap her during Swayamvara. As Upadharava told, Anushalva went in the Swayamvara and sat on one of the throne. Then, he saw Princess Tejashree with a garland in her hand and choosing a prince for her Swayamvara. When she came to Anushalva, she refused to marry him. Anushalva, as told by Upadharava, angrily held her hands and put the garland in his neck and kidnapped her. This message later receives to Krishna.
