FreshMenu is an online food ordering company that operates 44 dark kitchens in Bengaluru, Mumbai and Delhi NCR.[1][2] FreshMenu is based in Bengaluru, India founded in 2014 by Rashmi Daga.[3][4] The company reported revenue of Rs.104.5 crore in FY2020.[5] Freshmenu raised Rs. 3.5 Cr funding from Lightspeed India, Zodius Technology fund and Vistra India in Jan 2021. [6]

Controversies[edit]

In 2016, the personal data of 110,000 customers of FreshMenu was leaked.[7][8][9][10] In June, 2016, Innerchef accused FreshMenu of copyright infringement in search ads.[11]

In 2017, Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) fined FreshMenu for violating cleanliness norms in kitchen.[12]

In 2021, Consumer Court ordered FreshMenu to pay a compensation of Rs.10,000 for the negligence and refund of Rs.210 for serving a customer a chicken dish instead of a vegetarian item.[13]
