Cine & TV Artistes’ Association commonly known as CINTAA is an association based in Mumbai, India. It was founded in 1958 as Cine Artistes’ Association and later in 1997, the name was changed to Cine & TV Artistes’ Association after the advent of Television and private channels.

History

The moment of forming the association started in 1939, and the Film Artists' Association of India was formed the same year and later the name was changed to Cine & TV Artists' Association. The first president of the association was Sohrab Modi. It is governed by an executive committee. The association is an autonomous body registered under the Indian Trade Union Act.

In 1954, the name of the association was changed to Film Artists's Guild. A meeting was held at Indian film actor and director Manmohan Krishna's resident in February 1958, which was attended by various artists and in the said meeting Character Artists' Association was formed.
