The Government of Pakistan ([lower-alpha 1] is constitutionally referred to as the Federal Government and is commonly known as the Centre. It serves as the national authority of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, a federal republic situated in South Asia. The country is composed of four provinces and one federal territory. Additionally, the territories of Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir are part of Pakistan; however, they operate under separate administrative systems and are not integrated into the federation.
